Privacy Policy

The short version

We want to make your privacy as clear and simple as possible. We do not sell your personal information, we do not require you to create an account or post comments, and we do not have contact forms on this website. When you make a purchase, it is processed securely by Whop without us ever seeing your card details.

We do use some advertising and measurement tools to help us reach couples who need our help, and we want you to have full control over that. Depending on where you live, these tools may be turned off by default, and anyone can easily adjust their settings or opt out completely.

Who we are

Healing Together ("we" and "us") is a coaching and education business created by Dr. Carol Conrad, a licensed psychologist, and Alissa Wakefield. Our website is located at healingtogetherirt.com.

What we collect and why

We keep this website simple and private. There are no contact forms, user accounts, or comment sections here. When you want to reach us, you do so by clicking our email links or calling us directly. We use the email addresses, phone numbers, and any message details you share with us solely to respond to your inquiries and help you.

Our website hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data like your IP address and browser type. This is necessary to deliver the website to your device safely and protect our site from security threats.

Advertising and measurement

To help us measure our marketing efforts and reach people who could benefit from our programs, we use the Google tag (for Google Ads conversion measurement and enhanced conversions) and the Whop Pixel (for tracking page views and campaign attribution). We also save advertising click IDs and campaign parameters (UTM parameters) from the link you used to arrive on our site so we can see which campaigns are working.

These tools utilize cookies and identifiers, including Google's advertising cookies (such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw) and Whop's own identifiers. If you purchase our Connection Breakthrough Experience and Whop makes your email address available to us, we may share it with Google in hashed (scrambled) form, only if you have allowed advertising cookies. Google uses it to confirm that an advertisement led to a purchase (this is called enhanced conversions).

Under some US state laws, using these measurement tools to show you tailored ads may be considered 'sharing' your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We never sell your personal information for money, and we make it easy for you to opt out of this sharing.

We also keep a few small items in your browser: your privacy choice, and the campaign parameters from the link you arrived on, which we keep for the length of your visit so a purchase can be matched to a campaign. Advertising click IDs are only saved if you have allowed advertising cookies.

Your choices

We respect your privacy choices and use Google Consent Mode v2 to manage cookies based on where you are located.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising and analytics cookies are turned off by default. They will only run if you actively accept them in our cookie banner. If you are visiting from elsewhere, they are turned on by default.

No matter where you are, you can change your mind and update your settings at any time by clicking the 'Your privacy choices' link in our website footer. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out: advertising cookies stay off unless you choose to accept them in our banner.

Purchases and payments

Our educational and coaching programs—including the Connection Breakthrough Experience, our membership, and our couples retreats—are paid for and managed through Whop (whop.com).

For your convenience, the checkout form for the Connection Breakthrough Experience is embedded directly on our page at /checkout. However, Whop collects, processes, and handles your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. We never see, receive, or store your credit card numbers.

Whop manages your access to our programs and handles all receipts and email confirmations. Whop provides us with certain transaction details (such as your email address, the payment amount, and a payment ID) so we can confirm your purchase and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

Videos and other services we use

Some of our pages show videos hosted on YouTube. On some pages a thumbnail image loads first and the YouTube player loads only when you press play. On our Start Today page, the main video's player loads when you reach it and may start playing muted. Whenever a YouTube player loads, YouTube may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep information

We retain your emails, communication records, and purchase details only for as long as they are needed to fulfill the coaching and educational purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable laws.

Your rights

You are welcome to ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. If you are a resident of certain US states (like California) or live in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have specific legal rights regarding your personal data.

To make a request, please email us. We will respond within 30 days, and if we need more time we will tell you why.

Children

Our website and programs are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Not therapy

Healing Together is strictly an education and coaching service. It is explicitly not psychotherapy, clinical mental health treatment, or a substitute for professional therapy.

Our programs and site are not designed for, and should not be used by, anyone dealing with an active crisis, domestic violence, active addiction, or an active affair. Because our services are not clinical, we ask that you do not send sensitive health or clinical information to us by email. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website or how we operate. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new date.
